JSU Band Day – Saturday September 11, 2010

Students who participate will receive instruction from Southerner’s Staff Members, a catered dinner, and admission to the game. Students will perform pre-game with the Southerners on the field. Students will also see two very fine band programs perform during the game and at half-time (Southerners and UT Chattanooga).

Band Day Cost - $15.00
Bus Cost - $5.00

Total cost paid to Pride Music Association - $20.00

Students will also need a few dollars for lunch (not provided) and if they wish to purchase any ...

Home Game Call Time and Procedures

Students are not allowed to stay at the Bandroom after school on days of home games. Mr. Haskew will be back at the Bandroom by 4:30 PM.

5:00 PM – Low Brass and Percussion help load equipment bus
5:30 PM – Everyone seated in Bandroom dressed
6:00 PM – Depart for Stadium (only band members and runners ride buses to stadium)
6:15 PM – Unload and Warm-up
6:45 PM – National Anthem on Field

Cookie Dough Delivery

The first shipment of cookie dough should arrive tomorrow (Tuesday). A separate order will arrive next week. Our plan is to fill the largest orders first. Items will come frozen.

Orders not picked up will be put into the freezer at SHS.

All-State / All-District Audition Music and CD Order

All-State / All-District Audition Material has been posted in the RMS and SHS Bandrooms. Students interested in auditioning should review the requirements and begin looking over his/her scales and required selections. In addition, the student should start practicing sightreading. If students need help with audition music the need only ask! When marching season starts to wind down I will start hearing students on their audition material.

If a student is serious about auditioning I highly suggest they purchase a CD of the audition material. This is a great practice tool. CDs can ...
